Merry Catanuto and Bill Hoffman are the husband and wife team that own and operate the House of William and Merry. Merry and Bill grew up in northern Delaware and met in 2000 while working together at Mcglynns in Pike Creek. Both of them have loved food from an early age, and now they are living their dream of having a restaurant of their own.
Both are trained chefs--Merry at the San Francisco California Culinary Academy and Bill at the Philadelphia Culinary Arts and Design School. Merry was a chef at La Pastaia in San Jose, CA before returning to help reopen the Deer Park in downtown Newark. Bill was the chef at the Green Room at the Hotel du Pont for 5 years and has worked at the Bistro on the Brandywine, the Columbus Inn, and the Eclipse Bistro.
Merry and Bill live on the property with their 9 year old son, Nick.
